# ZineControl

> The first professional filmmaking app built for Nikon — Nikon ZR cinema camera and the Z series. ZineControl_X extends it to multi-camera control across the entire ZCinema lineup (Nikon + RED).

## Overview
ZineControl is the first professional filmmaking application built specifically for Nikon. It provides full remote control and live monitoring of the Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras and the Nikon ZR cinema camera over WiFi (PTP/IP) and USB-C (MTP). iOS available on the App Store; Android available on Google Play.

ZineControl_X is the multi-camera version, designed for the entire ZCinema lineup. It controls multiple Nikon ZR / Z series bodies together with RED cameras (DSMC3 with live view; DSMC2 in control-only mode) from a single iPad — up to 6 cameras simultaneously.

- RED DSMC2 — HELIUM, GEMINI, MONSTRO, DRAGON-X (control only — RED's DSMC2 WiFi stack does not expose live view)

- Auto-hide HUD for clean reference monitoring

## ZineControl_X — multi-camera workflow
- Connect: discover all Nikon and RED bodies on the same network automatically
- Adjust: multi-control view with per-camera tile (ISO, shutter, WB, codec, FPS, focus); tap a tile for per-camera detail
- Multiview: live grid of every camera with touch-focus on bodies that support it
- One global REC ("Roll All") triggers every armed camera simultaneously
- Recommended: dedicated WiFi 6 router used exclusively for the cameras

## Connection methods
- WiFi (PTP/IP) — direct camera AP, iPhone hotspot, or dedicated set router
- USB-C direct (Android) — lowest latency, no pairing
- HDMI capture and Accsoon SeeMo integration are coming in a future release

- Nikon Z series body or Nikon ZR with current firmware
- ZR specifically requires firmware 1.11 or later for full extended property support
- iPhone or iPad running iOS 17+, or Android 10+ device
- For ZineControl_X multi-cam: iPad recommended + WiFi 6 router dedicated to the cameras
